Reference Photos & your story
A good portrait begins with what you share: photos and context. Together we choose pose, light and atmosphere for a timeless result. I listen, ask questions and translate your personal story into a handmade drawing.
What I need
- 2-5 clear photos of the same person (or animal), without filters.
- Your story: who is it, for what occasion, what emotion may come first?
- Requirements around technique (pencil & ink, fineliners, possibly gold paint) and format.
- Deadline or time of gift giving so I can plan realistically.
Composition & atmosphere
- We determine framing (head/chest, half or three-quarter figure) and background (quiet or with symbolism).
- Light and shadow give character; I outline options and show you a direction.
- Extra meaning? Integrate subtle elements (a favorite book, a treasured place) or a fine gold accent.
