That one dike you always walk to. The viewpoint in the Ardennes. Or that city corner in Antwerp where everything makes sense. I translate your landscape into a handmade custom ink drawing – realistic, calm and timeless. Completely by hand, without a computer.
From idea to composition
We start with your story. What makes this place so special? The smell of pines, the light on the water, that one bench? You share your photos (or location/Google Maps) and wishes. I listen and ask questions until the mood is clear.
- Custom composition: I make quick sketches to test point of view, perspective and framing. You choose your favorite and we fine-tune together.
- Eye for perspective and atmosphere: lines, horizon, shadows and depth define the tranquility of the work.
- Creative freedom you can rely on: you give direction, I bring the landscape to life with my craft.
What you can personalize:
- Season and light: morning fog, golden hour or a clear winter day.
- Details: that little boat, the church steeple, a winding path, your garden wall.

Materials, technology & size
Everything is 100% handmade at ArtYvesFact in Merksem (Antwerp). I work on sturdy, high-quality drawing paper that ages beautifully. The drawing emerges layer by layer with pencil & ink and fineliners; where it fits, I add subtle gold paint.
Lining & shading
With fine fineliners, I build texture and depth through shading and cross-hatching. Pencil outlines the basic rhythms; ink sets the contrast. This keeps the landscape calm but rich in detail. You see every line, every choice – pure craft.
Gold paint as a subtle highlight
I use gold paint sparingly as an accent of light: a warm sheen on water, a glimpse of sun behind clouds, or the top of a tower. Never garish, always serving the image. It gives your work a soft glow that changes with the light.

- From intimate A4 to larger work for the wall.

Each drawing is unique. That’s why I work with a fair custom price. You will receive a clear quote in advance – with no surprises afterwards.
