I am Yves: I draw your story, completely by hand.

I am Yves De Vocht, the face behind ArtYvesFact in Merksem(Antwerp). I make handmade custom drawings: realistic, highly detailed and personal. With pencil & ink, fineliners and sometimes a touch of gold paint. Each work is 100% handmade – without computer. You get a unique work of art that touches and stays.

Story & motive

Drawing has been in me since childhood. Yet my career first ran differently: 10 years in finance, then 25 years in IT recruiting. In early 2025, I finally chose what I love most: drawing. Thus was born ArtYvesFact – a place where craft, detail and your personal story come together.

I listen to what you want to say. A portrait made to order of a loved one. A treasured memory. Mystical art in a modern twist. Or a landscape that won’t let you go. We determine the direction together and allow creative freedom to play. Thus grows a timeless piece that feels like you.

Craft first: I work layer by layer, with patience and attention. No tricks. No screen. Just paper, ink and time.

Craftsmanship requires focus and love of material. ArtYvesFact stands for affordable quality and fair price – with a finish you see and feel.

Pencil & Ink

For soft transitions, skin tones and depth. Ideal if you want to order a pencil drawing with a warm, realistic look. Ink adds contrast and definition – perfect for a custom ink drawing that may speak.

Fineliners

Clean lines, gossamer patterns, texture that becomes almost tangible. With fineliner art, I build detail until it’s right: hair, fabric, feathers, stone – each texture takes on character. It looks clear and timeless.

Subtle gold paint

A small accent, big effect. Gold paint captures light and lifts a work without overpowering it. Wonderful in symbolic or religious themes – religious art, but modern. Can also be used as a discreet highlight in portraits or nature motifs.

Methodology without a computer

1. Introduction

We talk about your idea: subject, style, format, timing and budget. This can be done in my studio in Merksem, via video or mail. Clarity first.

2. Sketch phase

I make a hand-drawn sketch in pencil. We coordinate, you give feedback. That's how we lay the foundation.

3. Elaboration

I work out layer by layer, using pencil, ink and fineliners. Where it fits, I add gold paint. You'll get interim updates with photos. Your input remains welcome at appropriate times.

5. Delivery

Collection in Merksem is possible. Shipping within Belgium and internationally is possible, carefully packed. Delivery time depends on size and complexity - craft takes time, but the result is worth it.

4. Finishing

I provide a neat finish and protection. We also discuss delivery options.

Expo Experience (Belgium & Germany)

I like to show my work to the public. Proudest moment: two works for an art expo in Germany, at Wertheim Castle. “Judith” and “The Dove of Noah’s Ark” – Biblical themes from the Old Testament – drawn with fineliners and finished with gold paint. It proves that handmade drawings and strong stories transcend borders.

ArtYvesFact works out of Merksem (Antwerp). You are welcome by appointment to view work or discuss an idea. Buying art in Belgium, or just across the border? No problem. I ship safely, also internationally.
