Executed in ink and golden acrylic on A3 format, Sancta Mortem confronts the sacred image of crucifixion by reshaping it through the body of a woman. Set against the grandeur of a gothic rose window, the figure embodies both suffering and defiance. The golden radiance contrasts with the raw flesh and blood, blurring the lines between devotion and blasphemy, reverence and rebellion. This work challenges the viewer to question the ownership of symbols, the weight of tradition, and the human body as vessel of sacrifice.
