Welcome to the world of ArtYvesFact, a realm where magic, mythology, and symbolism come to life. I am Yves De Vocht, founder of ArtYvesFact and a draftsman located in the heart of Antwerp (Belgium).
Themes such as Gothic style, Art Nouveau, medieval miniatures, heraldry, and the works of Dürer and Cranach serve as valuable sources of inspiration for me. Each of my artworks explores a profound connection between the spiritual and the physical, between nature and humanity. Graceful lines, refined patterns, Gothic architecture, and human narratives bestow upon the works a mysterious, timeless quality, while simultaneously evoking a sense of wonder—an artistic journey steeped in stories and symbolism.
Every detail carries a message or meaning. Picture, for instance, a mythical figure portrayed with regal stature, surrounded by lavish golden ornaments, representing a powerful archetype. Or a flower in full bloom, serving as a timeless symbol of life, growth, and rebirth. These elements invite the viewer to look more deeply and discover what lies beneath the surface.
The use of ink, fineliners, pencil, and acrylic paint is especially vital in my work. Different stylistic influences are frequently interwoven. Gold and/or silver accents, carefully applied, sometimes form the centerpiece of the composition. These details not only add a refined touch but also convey a spiritual dimension, reinforcing a connection to higher ideas and emotions.
My creations are an invitation to uncover stories within art, to experience emotion, and to momentarily step into another world. They pay tribute to the richness of the past, woven together with the creative freedom of the present, and are meant to spark the viewer’s imagination.
